While there has been much controversy regarding the founder of Bitcoin (BTC), the creators of other projects are somewhat known to the public. The duo behind the OG meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) has actively engaged with the community. One of them, Billy Markus, who goes by Shibetoshi Nakamoto, is quite popular on X (formerly Twitter).

DOGE’s Recent Performance and Community Engagement

Over the last couple of days, DOGE has been performing quite well in terms of price and network activity. The meme coin saw a notable 11% spike over the past 24 hours. At press time, the asset was trading at a high of $0.1263, which puts most holders of the asset at a notable profit.

Amidst this rise, the community was wondering if Markus still holds any Dogecoin. Meanwhile, a few others were curious about how much the DOGE co-founder held. Directing his focus on the first question, Markus revealed that he still owned Dogecoin. He took to X and made this revelation.

According to recent data, Markus continues to hold DOGE. His portfolio currently consists of 226,317.86 DOGE, or around $27,558 in total. In addition to the meme coin, he also owns several other cryptocurrencies.

Markus owns around $15,000 in Ethereum (ETH), $8,000 in other meme currencies, and $113,980 in PSPS, a cryptocurrency named after Markus’s pet. In addition, the Dogecoin co-founder seems to be a Solana fan. He owns 801.41 SOL, which is currently valued at almost $124,000.

While Markus’s portfolio includes several assets, the number of DOGEs he owns is quite low compared to the other cryptocurrencies in his wallet.
