Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym used by the developer of Bitcoin, whose real identity is yet to be revealed. Nakomoto is said to have developed Bitcoin and worked on publishing the ever-famous Bitcoin whitepaper, the one element that started a chain reaction of sorts, defying the laws of traditional monetary policies to rise high on the radar. People say that Nakamoto was the first to build the blockchain infrastructure, giving the world a full-fledged technology to build and innovate on.

“Nakamoto was not the first to hit on the concept of cryptocurrency. But was the one to solve a fundamental problem that prevented its adoption. Unlike paper currency, cryptocurrency could be spent more than once. This was known as “double-spending,” and Nakamoto solved it by proposing a peer-to-peer distributed timestamp server. This distributed server would generate computational proof of the chronological order of the transactions. Using something similar to the proof-of-work system designed by Adam Back.” As stated by Investopedia

    Update on Nakamoto’s Wealth

Per Investopedia, Nakamoto possesses nearly 100 bitcoins. His wallet keeps on accumulating more coins as crypto community enthusiasts tend to send him more tokens in gratitude for giving the world a remarkable digital asset to explore and build with.

“However, the only address known to be Satoshi’s is the Genesis address. The first blockchain address with the unspendable 50 bitcoins in it. On Oct. 3, 2024, it had a little more than 100 bitcoins in it. But it continues accumulating them because the community religiously sends them to the address, possibly as tokens of appreciation.”

Per the latest stats, Nakamoto is the 11th richest person on the planet. The BTC founders’ stash holds nearly $120 billion worth of BTC tokens.

“Satoshi Nakamoto now holds $120 billion worth of $BTC, making him the 11th richest person in the world.”
